"The reason I gave only 3 stars to returning is that Perledo is difficult for older people. A lot of walking on uneven surfaces. Also, would not recommend going in June, July and August. Too many people. "

"Ho solamente pernottato una notte percorrendo il Sentiero del Viandante, quindi le mie recensioni sono molto, molto limitate. Il luogo è certamente bello e mi sembra ben tenuto. Risente della vicinanza di Varenna (cittadina che ho sempre amato ma che ora l'eccessivo turismo ha per me snaturato) per quanto riguarda i prezzi, che mi aspettavo un pochino più contenuti, ma questo c'entra poco con l'Amministrazione..."

"While the location , food and ambiance was top class the worst part of getting a taxi. There are only 4 taxi services on Varenna to Perledo, all were busy most time and charged from 15 to 30 EURO, whatever came to their mind. Wait time was from 2 hours to 4 hours and sometimes had to walk up which took us 1 to 1.5 hours. Will recommend to friends but with one suggestion that get your own car. There is a public bus from Varenna Train station to Perledo but thats not a bus it's a van , and every time it came (7 seater) there were atleast 25 people waiting, poor guy was making multiple trips and in each trip 10 more people got added. Seriously do something about Taxi as that's causing a bad name for the place. "

"The tourist van from Varenna should run until the end of October. We were only able to use it once. The cabs charge an inflated price. Other than that, the area is absolutely beautiful. "
